Or, adventure with a catch
Write about an adventure you experienced, and write about it until you connect it to something going on in your present life or, better yet, something playing out in the world.
A couple of weeks ago, I found myself driving through Wyoming in whiteout conditions, and when I came upon the next available town in which I might stop, I found it bearing confederate flags and hate-filled political and anti-science signs on various buildings including the literal marquee sign of the only motel in town. I took my chances in the blizzard. But, obviously, what I will write today is the story of this trip and why the state things had a dangerous whiteout with zero visibility looking like the safer choice.
