Childhood favorites

(shout-out to the "Dorrie the Little Witch" series)

Write about a book or series of books you loved in your childhood. And, keep writing about it until you can bring it back around to make some kind of point about who you are now or the world in which we live or both.

As for me, I was entirely in love with the “Dorrie the Little Witch” series by Patricia Coombs. Dorrie was an awkward, impatient, skinny girl with dark hair who dreamed of big adventures. She had a badass Big Witch in her life who had a big yass queen vibe, though was quiet and not boastful in her power and was a strong, independent woman. I look at the books now and see so much of how they shaped me as a kid who felt like she didn’t match her surroundings at all.
