Today, write about where you find a sense of peace and consistency in your life or work or friendships or elsewhere. What or who in your world shows unshakable steadiness and where in your own life do you feel drawn to be both more and less consistent?
This morning, I learned that an old friend from my hometown died, and I was reflecting on not just her sweet and funny spirit, on her quiet confidence, and on her unbelievably consistent way of being in the world. She seemingly never deviated from what felt true for her and her presence was overwhelmingly driven by curiosity, enthusiasm and straightforwardness far more than it ever was by ego.
So I offer today’s prompt in that spirit. In a world that asks us to conform and show up the same and abide by trends and algorithms, where can we celebrate deep and solid truths and our own selves and lean into the solidity of that? Let’s write about that today.
