Our brains can be ridiculous
Write about a time in which you convinced yourself of something not only completely false but also completely ridiculous. Perhaps that means writing about the time you convinced yourself you’d disappointed your partner when in fact they were nothing but delighted with you, a time you felt like you looked awful at such-and-such event when photos later revealed that you looked amazing, or when you imagined your coworker was super mad when they were absolutely nothing of the sort. Whatever just came to mind, start there with your writing and see where you land. Let’s go.
