Exercise: you, the critic
Indeed, everyone *is* a critic, as they say
Write about a tv season or movie you recently watched. Go beyond whether or not you “liked” the show/movie and move into why you did/didn’t, why you feel like you do about it, and then, take a big step back and consider the cultural context of the production and characters, any archetypal narratives or character types present in the story, and/or how the story mirrors or contrasts with another story in the same genre or from the same director, or that is present in folklore or mythology.
