Haunted hotels alone could fill volumes
Today, write something involving a hotel. Maybe a review or travelogue, maybe an essay about an experience you had at a hotel, maybe about a hotel that no longer exists (or never did, for you fiction writers out there), maybe about writing in a hotel just to make it meta af, or anything at all that comes to mind when you think about hotels. (If it’ll help, make a list and pick one, taking care to save the rest of it to your ideas file for later.)
Here’s my own aim on this prompt idea: My parents used to care for a hotel in the winter, complete with famous literary ghosts, that scared the absolute hell out of me. (Indeed, “The Shining” hit me on a deep level.) It’s definitely time I wrote about it.
