Today, write a personal essay that includes a dream you can remember.

That could be as straightforward as, “The night before my grandmother died, I dreamt she came to tell me goodbye…” (true story) or as random as “I’d had a dream a few nights earlier about ladybugs, millions of them, which had nothing to do with the awkward silence in this moment, but my mind kept going back to it.” Make of this whatever you want, but be sure to thread a dream you had in there somewhere.
