Today, write a food that you consider romantic that perhaps others would not and why you consider it so. Challenge yourself to move beyond the cliches of heart-shaped boxes of chocolates and aria-singing servers and find a food that you find romantic and about which you can tell a good story to explain why you think of it that way.
Maybe you and your boo initially fell in love over bowls of Pad Thai? Maybe you and the great love of your life both love some weird combo like Oreos + ketchup and have some kind of private joke about it? Maybe you just think, say, Dauphinoise potatoes are sensual and delicious no matter who you’re with? Or, maybe you have a sweet association with PBJ because your grade school crush shared theirs with you?
