When was the last time you did something out of the ordinary? I don’t know about your brain, my my brain thrives on having regular doses of change and new things to be curious about.
Write today about a thing out of the ordinary, but one that happened because you made a different choice, if not a bolder-than-usual one. And, if no such example comes to mind, maybe write about why that is. Or, perhaps you’re plotting to do something that feels routine-shaking-up-y or wld or out of character. Write about that.
Last night, about 3 a.m., I was in a house in the mountainy desert about 90 minutes away from Los Angeles, sitting in a makeup chair getting turned into, well, a corpse. Did I get home at 7 in the morning? Sure. Was I heckin’ tired? For sure. But, did I have an adventure and see the sunrise over the mountains? Also yes. Did I wash dried fake blood out of my hair, meet some lovely new people and have a good time? Yes, yes and yes. And, all it took was saying yes to a thing that sounded fun-weird and cool. That’s really all it takes most of the time.
Let’s write.
