Today, write about a tool of some kind that you’ve had for a long time. It doesn’t have to be a tool-tool, it can be any kind of tool, like a pen, a typewriter, or a spatula.
Here is what I will write about: just yesterday, a stranger removed my bedroom door to carry away a piece a furniture I had on offer, and I watched him pry my screwdriver against the grooves of the door hinges, and tap it with a red hammer I’ve had since I was about six. It was a whole deal to receive this hammer (a whole deal I will definitely write about) and it was a thing known in my family: Amy has the red hammer; the red hammer is only Amy’s. (Indeed, all these decades later, I still have the red hammer, and a black one, and a yellow once and gah why do I have so may hammers?!?)
Anyway. Let’s write.
I just subscribed! Question: Do you have a time limit for your writing prompts? Like, Is it "Write for exactly 5 [or 10 or whatever] minutes," or is it "Write until you feel you've hit the spot?"
