Some of my favorite travelogues are not the “so then I went here, then here, this was great” vibe but are more of a magnificent little vignette of a story superimposed on a place. (I like that so much, in fact, that I produced a film last year in that genre— a true story of two friends on a road trip in Alaska on which said travelers encounter an Elvis impersonator and change course. It’s not about the place, it’s about the unfolding events that take place there.)
So, let’s do that: write a travelogue in which the place is a backdrop to the story of the event that transpired there. Let’s go.
I created a whole-ass support system/course to help people doing creative work end loops of frustration/stagnation and come out of the gate with a framework to get/keep their creative shit together, promote their work in a strategic way, and feel good and safe about being SEEN doing their creative work. It’s called The Seen AF Method, my project to help creatives challenge narratives around creative work and visibility and build a unique-to-your-art strategy to set yourself and your work up for more. I am excited as hell about it.
