On being highly misread
Today, write about a moment when someone misunderstood your silence or restraint as weakness and what they actually missed instead.
As I write that, I’m thinking of the Simpsons episode in which little Lisa Simpson climbs the wall of a fortress, and a solder at the top is like “what's all this then, it's a little bird with a knife” totally taking the small and cute Lisa as harmless, in the second before she stabs him in the belly.
