(because sometimes it really does!)
Today, write about a situation you’ve been in that completely snowballed out of control. Maybe one time your baby niece poured syrup on the cat and the cat went bananas and tripped grandma who was carrying the holiday roast and it flew into the fireplace and you ultimately married the firefighter who came to your family’s burning house. Maybe you told what seemed like a harmless white lie and ended up having to go to wild lengths to cover your ass. Maybe your parent burned a holiday meal and you all found yourselves at the only place that was open and it was a hot dog stand (true story) and you ended up being questioned by police because of a bomb scare. Things can spiral, folks. It happens.
If it helps, make a list of such situations that come to mind and see how many you can think of, then pick one and write about it (saving the others to your main ideas file for another time). Let’s go.
