What’s the deal here?
Welcome. This whole Substack is centered around daily writing prompts of the non-fiction “there is urgency to adding your voice to public narrative” variety. You’ll also find a lot about the act of writing, how to get better at it, and how to get out of your own way when it comes to writing, pitching, and participating in the public conversation in a way that is thoughtful, useful, and impactful. You’ll also get helpful ideas about how to raise your own public impact and knit together you own body of writerly work in thoughtful ways, too.
I’m a writer/screenwriter, filmmaker, journalist and strategist and all my work centers around challenging dominant narratives and the ways in which we frame, think about and access the public conversation.
I started this in June of 2020, so given that these posts are daily, there is quite a bit here, plus several posts like this one, that’ll also help ensure you never, ever run out of things to write about.
